Hindustani Vocal and Semi-Classical Recital by Smt. Sohini Roy Chowdhury

Smt. Sohini Roy Chowdhury is one of the finest exponents of Kirana Gharana. She is a disciple of Pandit A T Kanan, Ustad Sagiruddin Khan and Ustad Maskoor Ali Khan. Apart from Khayal, her repertoire expands to Thumri, Dadra, Kajri, Chaiti, Sawani, Jhula, Tappa of Poorab Style which is popularly known as Benaras Gharana under the tutelage of Smt. Dalia Rahut. She is a ICCR and SPIC MACAY empanelled artist. She has travelled across the globe for music conferences. She is also a graded artist of All India Radio and Doordarshan. Sohini has lent her voice to various telefilms and music channels. On the academic front she is a Chartered Accountant, heading the Finance Department of a multinantional. Sohini holds Sangeet Prabhakar and Sangeet Visharad She is a recipient of Aparajita Award and Nari Nakshatra Samman Award by ABP Sananda .
