Tabla Workshop by Shri Avinash Patil

In this workshop, Shri Avinash Patil will cover several aspects of Taal and Layakari. He will demonstrate different types of compositions that are typically played on Tabla. He will talk about various Tabla Gharanas and particularly about the uniquness of Delhi and Ajrada Baaj.  Shri Avinash Patil will conclude the workshop with his Tabla Solo Recital. 

Important Note

Attendees are requested to bring their own tabla-set to be able to practice the compositions taught during the workshop.

About Shri Avinash Patil

Shri Avinash Patil is a disciple of his father Pandit Pramod Patil and Pandit Umesh Moghe. He is one of the finest exponents of Tabla whose playing style is an amalgamation of Delhi and Ajrada Gharana. He holds a masters in Music from Pune University and Sangeet Alankar from Akhil Bhartiya Gandharva Mahavidyalaya Mandal Miraj. He has performed across India and several countries like UK, Netherlands, Spain, France, Denmark, Poland, Germany Switzerland, UAE etc. He has accompanied some of India's well known classical musicians. He is a recipient of many prestigious awards.
