Vocal Recital by Dheeraj Pokharna

Dheeraj Pokharna is getting training for classical vocal from Dr. Monicaben Shah, Surmani, a renowned vocalist of Kirana Gharana and Benaras Gharana. Dr. Monica Shah is a prominent disciple of 'Padma Vibhushan' Girija Devi and Dr. Pradeepta Ganguly. Some of many achievements of Dheeraj are as follows.

-Performed classical Vocal at Aradhana Music Festivals and other renowned concerts several times.

-Performed for AIR and Dordarshan. 

-Completed Visharad in Indian Classical Vocal with distinction and Gold Medal.

-Got scholarship from Govt of Gujarat in Visharad.

-He has composed, written and sung a few bhajans.

-Got rewarded as the "Best Student of the year 2007-08" by HL Institute of Commerce, Ahmedabad.
