Vocal Recital by Smt. Piyali Chatterjee along with Shri Ashok Chakraborty on Tabla

Piyali Chatterjee has learnt Hindustani Classical Music from her very early age under the guidance of Shree Subhomoy Bhattacharya. At present she is continuing her Talim from Prof. Rajyasree Ghosh. She is learning Thumri-Dadra from Smt. Parul Banerjee. Piyali stood 3rd in Khayal competition organised by Rajya Sangeet Academy West Bengal. Piyali was a scholar of West Bengal State Music Academy. She stood first class first in MA from Rabindra Bharati University Kolkata. She also stood first class first in Khayal (Hons) from Calcutta University. Piyali has performed for verious concerts. Piyali along with her husband is working towards promoting classical music amongst next generation. She runs her own academy known as 'Gandhar'where programs and workshops are organized regularly.
